With just over 6 weeks to go before baby girl Grube is due, there are a few things that are becoming increasingly difficult and/or uncomfortable. Let me share a few with you...
*Shaving my legs (among other things). This is just awkward. And taking a razor to "sensitive" parts unseen is never a good idea.
*Putting on socks and shoes. Thank God for flip-flops!
*Sleeping. This is in part due to the fact that my trips to the potty have seemed to double in the last week, and also the fact that it's just plain hard to get comfortable.
*Hemorrhoids. Enough said.
*Getting in and out of the truck. Thankfully the truck has a handle to help me up...hopefully it doesn't break one of these times!
*Carrying in groceries. No more tucking things under my arms and balancing on my hips to make it all in one trip. Now it's several trips back and forth with a few things at a time. I know, not a big deal, just inconvenient.
*Eating. I'm hungry pretty much all the time, but since there isn't really anywhere for the food to go anymore, I end up feeling stuffed after eating only 1/3 of my meal. Then, 2 hours later, I'm hungry again!
*Pregnancy brain. Okay, so I can't believe I'm going to admit to this, but remember how our Internet was down last week? Well, it took me a few days to realize the reason for that...I forgot to pay the bill! Yikes! Never done that before. How embarassing.
*Keeping my clothes clean. Somehow I always manage to drop some variety of food or drink on my shirt...I have apparently forgotten how to get them into my mouth without making a mess of my belly! And then there's forgetting that I can't "squeeze through" anymore, and end up brushing up against something to get myself dirty.
*Sitting...in the car, at my desk, or anywhere else for long periods of time. I have to lean, twist, slump, arch, etc to get those little feet out of my ribs!
However, it's not all bad. Here are a few things that have become easier since my belly has gotten bigger...
*Folding laundry. I now have a nice little shelf that helps me hold while I fold! It's especially handy when folding all those cute little sleepers and dresses Ü
*It's a place for rest. I am constantly resting my hand on top of my tummy, among other things. However, this can become a problem depending on what's doing the resting. The other day at Target I was reading the back of the Dreft container and it got a little heavy, so I propped it up on my tummy while I cont'd to read. Well...the bottom wasn't clean, so then I ended up with a dirty shirt! See what I mean?!
*Getting my hubby to stop at Dairy Queen at almost every request! And believe me, these requests are pretty frequent Ü
Well, that's all I can come up with for now. I'm sure there are things that just aren't coming to me at the moment, so if you think of anything else, please share! Of course our little sweetie will be worth each and every ache, pain, discomfort, brain-fart, and load of laundry...but with my ever-growing tummy, some of these things I cannot ignore!
Enjoy this beautiful Thursday! Go Seahawks!!

Another good thing about the tummy shelf...resting your plate on it when you're eating on the couch. Now most of the food I spill lands on my boobs, or down my shirt. It's great for a laugh or two.

Amen to all of that! You pretty much covered them all and I remember it all so vividly!! How about heartburn? I had really bad troubles with that....antacids didn't even touch it. I felt like the little guy was up in my throat sometimes! Hey....I'd do it all over again though!
Okay, knock on wood, but I have yet to experience the terrible heartburn... My sister couldn't even lay down in bed at night for her last 4 weeks before delivering Holly, so I'm crossing my fingers that it stays away! But, soon it will all be over...and it'll all worth it Ü
