Left out...

Our dogs are outside dogs. They come in for the night to sleep, but for the most part they live in the great outdoors. Since Taylor has been home, this look through the window has become their only glimpse into the indoor world, aside from bedtime. They are so curious. They know something's different. They hear her cry and immediately come to the porch with their ears up and their noses on the window, trying to catch a glimpse of what it might be. They were both introduced to her when she came home...first by smelling her blanket from the hospital, and then one at a time they got to sniff and check her out. Lambeau sniffed her head so much he left her hair wet! Lola didn't pay much attention to her...she gave her a quick hello, but was much more interested if there were any scraps in the garbage can. I'm feeling a little bit guilty thinking that they must be feeling very neglected by their mama and don't know why. I can't go outside to play, and I can't feed them and do the usual morning routine that they're used to...but they don't know why. Look at those sad eyes! This picture has me oozing with guilt...

Yeah but soon they'll have a little play mate just at their height to share popsicles and icecream cones with. (Oh, and anything she doesn't like eating.)

Its sure funny how our poor non-human children get 2nd place now. Its kind of sad actually :( I feel bad for my poor dogs....sometimes, until I notice all the naughty stuff they do. (obviously trying to get my attention) I think the older Grayson gets though....the dogs have been getting more and more attention.
