Today...

...is the first day this week that I've actually stayed home. Monday was work, Tuesday I can't remember, Wednesday was shopping at Kohl's (yes, for the 2nd time after 4 days of being open!) and a doctor's appt, yesterday was a very successful Babies 'R Us shopping trip, and finally today, I'm still in my pajamas! I've been craving a Starbuck's hot chocolate all morning, but that would require a little effort on my part, and I just don't have it in me right now. I've got a load of laundry in the wash, another load folded and already put away, and I feel quite content with that at the moment. Atleast I can say I did something today!

Anyway, Wednesday at my doctor's appointment I was told to be prepared to go past my due date (which by the way is EIGHT days away!!!). Apparently I have a narrow pubic bone (nobody's ever told me that before!) and the baby hasn't started to move down much. They think it's going to take a lot of work for her to come down into the birth canal because of the narrowness of the bone...so I'm preparing myself for many hours of contractions...and a lot of pushing on top of that! Should be interesting...I say let's get this party started! At my next appointment (Wednesday) I will be 3 days away from my due date, and at that point if there's still no change we can decide whether we want to make an appointment to be induced at 41 weeks, which would be another week and a half from that point. Hopefully things will happen on their own before we get to that point and we won't have to worry about it...

Yesterday I went to Babies 'R Us and got pretty much everything that was left on my list of must-haves before the baby arrives! Cozy, warm blankets, baskets, an adorable pink hamper, crib sheets, a baby health/safety kit, and a few other things. I really think we're ready!

Tonight I'm headed to Yelm's football game (in Lakewood) which I always look forward to...even though they haven't won their first game yet! There's just something about getting all bundled up and sitting outside under the lights...sipping hot cocoa and cheering on your team. Oh, and the Friday Night Lights season premiere is on tonight too! Matt and I really fell in love with that show last year. Yeah for DVR!

Tomorrow I get to spend the afternoon at my good friend Tiffany's baby shower! I'm so excited for her! Lots of ooh-ing and aah-ing over all things baby...what better way to spend an afternoon? Ü Oh, and cake! After that we're going to Cheri and Jay's house for dinner and football...Missouri plays Nebraska tomorrow night so the families are getting together to duke it out! For those of you that don't know, Jay's family is from St. Louis, Missouri and my family (on the Peterson side) is from Lincoln, Nebraska. Go Huskers!!

Well, the washing machine has stopped, so I'm off to the laundry room! Think I'll make myself a sandwich too. PB&J sounds good...and so does grilled cheese, but that's more work. Oh...decisions, decisions Ü Hope you all have a great weekend! Enjoy the rain!! Ha!

hey did anybody catch the score of that Mizzou game against Nebraska...oh wait I did I think it was 41-6 in favor of the Tigers..Neb. didn't even get a T.D and that hasn't happened since 1961...that was a good ole fashion a@# whoopin the Tigers laid on them
