Happy 4 months old, Taylor Jade!

13.3lbs and just shy of 24 inches long. That's 50% for height and weight...up from 25% at her last appointment 2 months ago. Wow. I'm sure I've said this a million times, but I have to say it again...I can't believe how fast she's growing up. I'm so proud of all of her milestones, but sad that they seem to just be whizzing by, one right after another. If anyone knows of a way to slow time, please let me know! Right now, she's taking a nap in her crib for the first time. Up until now, she's only slept in her bassinet, which is quickly becoming too small for her. So sad! I think we may have to move her crib into our bedroom for awhile cuz I just don't think I'm ready to let her be on her own yet...atleast not at nighttime. Oh, and we can also start thinking about solid foods now...anytime between 4-6 months. Cereal? Already?! Crap! But, Taylor is showing a lot of the signs that she's ready for a little more than just a liquid diet. Just the last week she's been showing interest in what we're eating...staring at our food while it goes from the plate to our mouths. She leans towards the table if she's sitting with us while we're eating, like she wants to get the food! And she's also started waking up in the night to eat (which she hasn't done since she was 5 weeks old) which leads me to believe that she's not satisfied enough with just milk alone. So, we may give rice cereal a try in the next few weeks. It doesn't even seem possible that she could be ready for that yet...I swear it was just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital!
When I got up this morning and saw the sunshine, I couldn't wait to get outside. Taylor and I got bundled up (thinking it was sunny and cold) and headed out for a nice walk. By the time we got home my hat and fleece were off, and she was out cold. Days like this really make me wish it was a little closer to spring and summer! But, we'll take what we can get! Enjoy the sunshine Ü

Yeah....the whole moving to the crib for nighttime was pretty hard on this mom! If Heath had his way it would have been months before....it may have been nearing 6 months until I finally allowed it :)
