We had such a great weekend! Saturday we got up and made egg sandwiches and coffee for breakfast and Taylor was feeling much better already and was in a really good mood after a good, long night's sleep. After the usual morning stuff (shower, getting Taylor dressed, cereal, etc) daddy and Taylor took a little nap and I got to work! I got a load of laundry done and put away (plus one that was sitting on the chair waiting for me to fold it and put it away), I cleaned the kitchen and dishes, sorted thru the stack of mail that had piled up on the counter from the week, and even cleaned out our "junk" drawers (yes, that's drawers, plural.). My mom and Grandma stopped by for a little bit and after they left we got in the truck and headed to Lowe's. We wandered around the garden department getting ideas of what we want to do for some landscaping in our front yard and by the front door...I think we came up with a good plan! After that, we went to Costco for gas (since it's so much cheaper...$3.68 a gallon...THAT'S CHEAPER?!...barf.), grabbed a pizza and headed home. We baked our pizza and watched the NASCAR race that had been taping while we were gone (and then got absolutely infuriated at the end of the race and almost let it ruin our day - we're big Dale Jr. fans and idiot Kyle Busch put Jr. in the wall with about 4 laps to go when Jr. was about to win his first race in more than 2 years. GGGRRRRRR! I'm getting mad again just thinking about it...) After the race we decided we needed a drink, so we went outside and lit a fire and enjoyed the rest of the evening in peace and quiet. It was such a beautiful night!Yesterday Taylor got us up kinda early, so we ended up getting quite a bit done in the morning and then still had the rest of a beautiful day to play! While Matt was fixing the lawn mower (just needed a new spark-plug) and Taylor was sleeping I swept and ShopVac-ed the garage. Then she woke up, had her cereal and her and I played outside on the back patio (in the sun!) while Matt mowed the front lawns. When he was done, he hung out with Taylor while I mowed the back. (No, he didn't make me mow, I wanted to. For some reason, I've always liked mowing the lawn.) I finally got some sun on my face! And a freckle or two! Yeah! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sun and the smell of freshly cut grass for a bit, then came in and got cleaned up. We went down to the lake and let Lambeau swim for awhile, and then took the long way home just cuz it was such a nice day for a drive. We stopped at my mom and dad's and Grandma's on the way home and ended up bringing a few things home that we still had over at the old house. We got all that unloaded, rearranged a few things in the garage, added another shelf for storage, and finally came in the house. But not for long! Taylor desparately needed another nap, so even though it was after 6pm we put her down while we BBQ'd hamburgers and had a beer outside. It was so. nice! I know this probably sounds like an awful lot to be writing about not very much at all, but for some reason this weekend just seemed like a really great one. I think it had something to do with the fact that we had no obligations or plans, we just did what we wanted, when we wanted and it was so productive and relaxing all at the same time!

We spent some good quality family time this weekend...it makes me really, super excited for summer Ü***Thank you sunshine!
for your warmth,
your beauty,
and your presence***
Oh, and an update on our sick baby - She's doing really well. After just one dose of the eye medicine she woke up Saturday morning with no goop in her eye and it already looked a lot less pink. She would rub it every once-in-awhile, but other than that she was just really tired and needed a lot of extra sleep this weekend. Oh, and she got another tooth! Now she has two little teeth right next to each other on the bottom! I can't wait for them to start growing in so you can see them Ü
