Another weekend gone...

...man, they go fast, don't they?! We got kind of an early start to our weekend on Thursday. Tiffany and Avery came and spent the day with Taylor and I and we had such a fun day of playing! The girls took a little dip in the kiddie pool and then Tiffany and I caught a few rays while they took a little nap. Matt and Kory joined us when they got off work and we BBQ'd, the girls splashed and played in the bathtub, and Tiffany and I made a DQ run after the girls were asleep! (if you haven't tried the new Girl Scout Thin Mint Blizzard I highly recommend it!!) Although my blizzard was delicious, I have to say that the highlight of my day was watching Taylor and Avery playing together. They are SO. DANG. CUTE! They play so well together, and it's so fun to see them interacting with each other. There were a few times that they wanted the same toy...and they literally passed it back and forth about 10 times til someone got distracted, bored, or mad! It was the funniest thing!

Did someone say it was time for ice cream?!

Friday night we celebrated Cheri's (my sister) 35th birthday! We had pizza and cake and ice cream, and Peter even put on a little concert for us. He's quite the singer...and very creative with his lyrics. I wish I could remember some of them...I'll have to get back to you on that...

Saturday we went out to breakfast, wandered around the mall, went to a retirement party, and then to a party with some friends that I went to high school with, most of whom I haven't seen in years. It was so much fun to catch up and see some people that I have a lot of fond memories of...and we had some pretty fun times, too! Taylor spent the night with Grandma and Papa and was a little sweetheart Ü

Today we got tons of yard work done! Our front flower bed no longer looks like a weed garden, the grass is mowed and edged around the concrete, the flowers are soaking in the Miracle Grow, and the patio is tidied and swept. Aaah...it feels good. And looks good too!
