It's the most wonderful time of the year!

And today, is MY favorite day! I've always loved Christmas Eve, even more so than Christmas Day. The anticipation, the preparation...and for some reason it never quite feels like Christmas to me until Christmas Eve.
I was just telling Matt last night that it still doesn't seem like Christmas to me this year. There's snow on the ground. I've been baking for weeks. The house has been decorated inside and out...and still, I wasn't able to capture that special feeling that comes with this season. Until today! I woke up with a smile on my face, thinking "it's Christmas Eve!" And I've been smiling all day since. I even sang Christmas carols while washing the dishes! So, the house is spotless, there are 2 pork roasts in the crockpot, the baked beans are ready to go in the oven, the meatballs are waiting to go into the other crockpot, the cookies are frosted, the Chex mix is out, the champagne is chilling, the babe is asleep, and we're ready for a houseful of family tonight (about 30, I think!). I'm so excited to share this day and our home with some of the most wonderful people in my life. Our blessings are many, and our family and friends are by far the greatest blesssing we could ask for!
Tomorrow we will celebrate the birth of our Savior,
and remember that
HE
is the reason for this
amazing, wonderful, joyous, peaceful season!

Merry Christmas,
friends and family!

We love you!!!
