A few little things about being 15 months old

Today my little girl turns 15 months old! I say little girl because she is definitely not a baby anymore...she's a toddler! I'll let her tell you what she's been up to! :)

*I can run really fast! Sometimes my legs go faster than I can keep up with, and then I fall down.

*I know lots of words! I can say daddy, mommy, doggy, puppy, hi, bye, Abbie, please, eyes, Papa, baby, stinky, bath, up, owie, hot, cookie and more! Most of those I can say really well. There are lots of words that I try to say, but only my mommy and daddy know what I mean.

*My favorite toy is my Little Mermaid car! Gramma and Papa got it for me for Christmas and I LOVE it! Ariel sings and talks to me and we go on lots of under the sea adventures together! It's fun when someone pushes me, but I don't like to go too fast. I just like to cruise and say "Hi!" to everyone that I pass! When no one's around to push me or mommy's back hurts from pushing me so much, I can push myself with my feet.

*I'm a good eater...when I feel like it. I'm starting to get kinda picky...not about the food that I eat, but when I want to eat it. Some days I like yogurt and some days I don't. Some days I like applesauce, some days I don't. I usually eat my breakfast really good cuz I'm starving...a banana and oatmeal, or my favorite...a waffle with peanut butter and syrup! Other than that, I decide what I'm gonna eat, not mommy.

*I'm getting really good with a fork! Spoons are hard...everything falls off before it gets to my mouth. (then I get mad cuz mommy tries to get food off my lap while I'm trying to eat.) Mommy thinks there is a direct correlation to the above...sometimes if I can't do it myself, I get mad but won't let anyone help me. That's when I decide I'm not going to eat.

*I love to play peek-a-boo! I cover my eyes with my hands and then take them away and say "boo-boo!" (that's how I say peek-a-boo) I do it over, and over, and over again! Everyone laughs, so I keep doing it.

*I don't like getting my diaper changed anymore. As soon as mommy gets the sides unfastened I grab the diaper with one hand and pull it out from under me. Mommy REALLY hates it when I do this...especially when there's poop in my diaper.

*I'm wearing 18 months clothes now! For the first time in my life, I'm wearing clothes that are bigger than my age! Some of my shirts are still 12 months, but not my pants...all of a sudden they all got too short! I've gotten really tall in the last few weeks...you'd probably be jealous of my long legs.

*I like to be silly and make people laugh at me! I can even do a fake laugh when I know that someone thinks I'm being funny or cute...then they think I'm even cuter.

*I only like to take one nap now. Sometimes when I'm extra tired I'll take two if I'm at home...but at Gramma's house it's always only one. There's too much fun to be had at Gramma's with the other kids and all the toys...who wants to sleep?! Sometimes at Gramma's I can only sleep for 45 mins cuz I just know that those kids are having fun without me. Gramma doesn't like it when I do that cuz then I get crabby before my daddy comes to get me...sorry Gramma.

*I know lots of body parts! I know where my tummy, nose, teeth, hands, feet, hair, fingers, toes, bucky (bottom), and legs are. I still get the eyes and ears mixed up...I say "eyes" and then point to my mommy's eyes, but I also say "eyes" when I point to my mommy's ears. Hmm... :)

*One of the things that my mommy and daddy think is the funniest, is when they ask me if I went poopy and I wrinkle my nose, shake my head, smile and show my teeth, and say "stinky!" I say it even if I'm not stinky just cuz they think it's funny. And I say it when I'm getting my diaper changed too. :)

*I'm a busy girl! I guess you could say I'm your typical toddler. I like to get into everything. I like to make a mess. I love to run. I jabber all the time. I like to read books. I like to roll around and wrestle with my daddy. I like to play with my dog, even when he knocks me over. I love to go for walks outside. I like to play with other kids, but sometimes I don't like to share. I love cookies. I like to see animals, especially my Papa's cows. I love my mommy and I love my daddy and I know that they think I'm pretty special too. I think that's why they're always kissing me! :)

Taylor is actually a little under the weather today :( She woke up with a 102.0 fever and didn't want to eat. She wasn't acting like herself at all and I could tell that she really didn't feel good, so I gave her some Tylenol and apple juice. We sat on the rocking chair for a half hour and she just laid her head on my chest and didn't move the entire time (SO not like her...). I looked down and she was asleep. Not an hour after she got up. I'm hoping that when she wakes up she's feeling a little better....I certainly don't mind her wanting to snuggle with me all day, but I just don't want her to feel sick. I do have a feeling that this is her trying to get another tooth though. She seems to have a pattern with the big teeth...drool, drool, drool all day the day before and then have a high fever for a day or two. Within a few days I'll bet she has another molar...at least I'm hoping that's all it is.

Well I've got a pretty big "to-do" list for today, so I'm going to take advantage of this nap time and get to it. Have a great day! :)
