Sadly, a change of plans...

Go figure. Taylor woke up with a runny nose the same day that we were supposed to meet little Jackson for the first time :( So, to be on the safe side, we all decided it was best to reschedule and wait until she was healthy. I'm glad we did, because her nose has been like a little snot faucet all morning! :)
I had made a big pot of stew, had french bread and champagne, and baked a batch of yummy oatmeal and M&M cookies...and now we had nowhere to go! Since my brother-in-law is out of town, I called my sister to see if her and the kids wanted to come over for soup! At first it took some convincing for them to eat it...Abbie wanted all of the celery and tomatoes picked out of hers, Peter wanted all the carrots, celery and tomatoes picked out of his, and Holly only wanted to eat the crackers!
After the "no dessert until you eat some of your dinner" threat, Peter took a bite...and wouldn't ya know it, he liked it!
His exact words were "I didn't know it was gonna be this good!"
I teasingly said "This is way better than pizza, hu Peter?!"
He replied "It ain't better than cheese stuffed crust!"
Ya got me there, Peter :)
After dinner, Matt and Abbie watched Planet Earth...
...Taylor and Holly swapped snot germs...
...Holly showed us some of her new tricks...
...and Peter...well...he was just Peter!
Then Matt made a batch of his homemade hot fudge sauce and for dessert we had ice cream with hot fudge, and cookies on the side! Delish!
******
Back it up to Thursday night...
Mmm...Spaghetti and garlic bread!
She went straight into the tub after dinner!
******
This morning - Taylor sat in her new chair while we watched Handy Manny!
And then she played fetch with Daddy! ;)

I hate runny noses! Jake had one forever (with his fever) - then he got better, Jayson got it, and now Jake has it again! We have to buy kleenex's at Costco at this rate!

Hope Taylor's feeling better soon. We need another play date. Watcha doin' for the superbowl? (go cardinals!)

Man your dinner sounded delicious! I'm sorry we didn't get to have you over...cold and flu season sucks! Taylor is so funny with spaghetti all over herself. We had lasagna the other night and Avery looked exactly the same way...I almost put the high chair in the bathtub with her!

Have a terrific weekend!
