We had such a fun day at the Oregon Zoo on Saturday, and got some super cute pictures to prove it! However, we're still computer-less (I'm at work right now...shh!) so I can't show them to you! Matt was nice enough to bring his laptop home for the weekend, but I didn't want to upload our family pics onto his work laptop...so, no pictures yet. Here's a quick update anyway...
We got up Saturday morning, had some breakfast, got ready, and hit the road! We thought Taylor would sleep on the way down there, but of course she fought it as long as she could. About an hour into our drive, she finally gave in and let her little eyes that had been rolling around for 30 mins close. 15 minutes later, we got pulled over and she got woken up! Grr! Apparently our tabs have been expired since August 2008! WTH?! How did I not know this?? I've been driving the truck pretty much everyday and never had a clue! Anyway, the cop was really nice about it, told us to make sure to get it taken care of right away, and sent us on our way. Thankfully, he didn't give us a ticket, but I was more upset that Taylor was now awake after only a 15 minute nap and we were still 40 mins from the Zoo. There was no hope of her going back to sleep. But, true to form, she was such a good little girl the rest of the day. She had a great time looking at the animals at the Zoo, and even let us do some shopping afterwards! We stopped for a nice dinner on our way home, and she was out like a light for the rest of the drive! When we got home I couldn't help but be thankful for my two sweet Valentines and for a fabulous day spent with my two favorite people. I only wish we could spend every weekend this way :)
Oh, and speaking of Valentines, mine brought me a beautiful, pink, potted azalea (sp?) and my favorite...chocolate covered gummi bears! Thanks sweetie, I love you!!! xoxo

I'm glad you got a nice cop. I did the same thing last summer. Our's were way overdue too, and it's just one of those things, that never cross your mind to check...until you get pulled over!
I guess that reminder doesn't always get to us in the mail...? I sure don't remember getting one.

When we were driving to Seattle for Riley's b-day party my MIL had to stop to use the bathroom about a half hour after Riley fell asleep. I am the pregnant one and I could hold it!! Of course, Riley did not sleep the rest of the drive. The poor boy could hardly keep his eyes open after he was done with his cake =)

Did you just go to Oregon for the day? Is that closer to you guys than the Washington ones? It does sound like fun and a great way to spend Valentines!
I am anxious to see more pics - but I am more excited to see you guys - what are your plans for this weekend? Want to do a play date?
