Matt and I had a great trip to Arizona...we left last Friday and got home late Tuesday afternoon. Taylor stayed with my mom and dad while we were gone, so it was just the two of us! We enjoyed our alone time together, and cherished it since it doesn't come often, but boy did we miss our baby girl! I cried the whole way to the airport, then we watched Marley & Me on the airplane so of course I was brought to tears then, and again a few other times throughout the weekend (especially when I saw other mommys and daddys with their babies at the pool having such a good time...I REALLY missed her then!). Matt was actually there for business, so he didn't get to play much, but I took advantage of my time away and lounged by the pool as much as I could...it was HEAVEN! We had dinner with Matt's cousin Kerstin and her husband Kyle who live in Phoenix (this was the first time I'd met them) and had a fun evening out with them. Then, we spent the next day at the NASCAR race with one of Matt's customers and his wife, and that was AWESOME! (I'm from Yelm, what can I say?!) Seriously, if you love cars, crowds, the sound of some serious horsepower or the smell of racing fuel (or mullets) you should go! I've always loved all of the above (thanks to my dad :) ...well, minus the mullets) so I was a happy girl! Sunday we hung by the pool all day, then got dressed up and Matt took me to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for the best filet mignon I've ever tasted! We did take a few pictures, but the ones from the race are on Matt's work camera, and the ones that are on our personal camera include me in my bathing suit and I'm politely going to spare you those. Seriously, I never think I look that bad...until I see a picture of myself. Yikes! Taylor was perfect for my mom and dad. She slept really well every night, did her nebulizer treatments like a champ, and apparently almost ate them out of house and home! Infact, she didn't even ask for "mommy" or "daddy" one time in the five days she was there! At first I was a little bummed that she hadn't asked for us...but I'm so thankful that she had such a good time with her Gramma and Papa...if she'd had a hard time with us being gone, there's no way I could've enjoyed myself.
In other news...Taylor's feeling 100% better! We're still doing the nebulizer treatments (only twice a day) just to make sure that nasty bug doesn't come back, but she doesn't seem to mind and we should be done soon. Hopefully, this will be the end of it.
Well, that's about it. We're back to work and back to real life.

It sure was nice while it lasted :)
Here's Matt, floating down the Lazy River...
And after our first full day in the sun, looking a little tired :)
