Long time, no post!

Here's what we've all been up to...

Taylor...she's two. She wants her way, all the time. She eats when she wants, does what she wants, sleeps when she wants, and says "No" about 45 times a day. Ok, ok, I'm being dramatic. Really, she's such a good little girl, but boy, does she have her days! Sometimes she's the sweetest, easiest, snuggliest little girl you've ever seen...she'll take a nap...and wake up a monster! Crabby, whiney, needy...ugh...what happened?!

Here are some funny things she's been saying lately...

(Me) "Taylor, what did you have for dinner at Grandma and Papa's house?"
(Taylor) "Uuuummm...let's see here...(thinking really hard)...CHEESE!"

I went out to the garage and came back, and Taylor came running from the other room yelling "DADDY!!!" As she ran into the kitchen, she saw me standing there by the door..."Oh. Mommy. Haha!"...and she went back to her toys.

Running from her bedroom holding out her finger...I kiss it and she says "Better. Love you Mommy" as she's walking away. :)

Putting her baby in her bassinet, she leans over, kisses her and says "Nigh-night baby, love you."

She's talking up a storm.
She can count to 13, but never starts at 1, always starts at 3.
She knows a lot of her letters by sight and can tell you what they stand for...
A for Abbie
B for bus
D for Daddy
G for Gramma
I for ice cream
J for Jackson
L for Lambeau
M for Mommy
O for Owl
P for Papa
S for socks
and of course, T for Taylor!

She always says please and thank you without having to be reminded.
She knows who lives in Wisconsin, and that she's going on an airplane to get there!
She goes pee-pee on the potty atleast a few times a day, and knows as soon as she goes in her diaper...she hasn't quite figured out how to keep her diaper dry, though.
She still sleeps in her crib. I know she could get out if she tried, but apparently she's content...and that's just fine with me!

Honestly, I could go on and on about how she amazes me with the things she knows, the things she says, and the things she can do. I only wish everyone knew her like I do! :)

Matt...Still working hard and taking good care of all of us. I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate him and I need to do that more. (We're both working very hard right now to put each other first, which a lot of you know is hard to do when you have a little one, and I feel like we're beginning a new phase of our relationship.) He works a lot of hours during the week, so a lot of his down time is spent watching football and he doesn't mind that one bit! His parents are coming to visit in about a week and a half, and after not seeing them for over a year, we all can't wait for them to get here! I'd be lying if I said it's great to live so far away from my husband's family. It's not. We miss them, and they miss us, so it's really no fun at all. But, we'll be heading there for New Year's again this year and that will be a blast I'm sure! Matt and I are going to the Seahawks vs. Packers game at Lambeau Field again!!! It's become a fun tradition for us to go to the game when they play each other...well, fun for the winning team's fan anyway! :)

Me...I'm recovering well from my surgery and hoping this is the "fix" we needed for our little family to grow. I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket (or ovary...I still have 2, don'tcha know!) but I really feel good about our future...it's gonna be a fertile one, I can feel it! :) I've also come to the conclusion that it's time for us to find a new church. Matt has never been especially happy or comfortable in my church, and this has always been hard for me. One, because I grew up going to that church and my whole family attends mass there...and two, because we got married there, so I sorta feel like that's where we started our lives together. But, things change and just as our marriage isn't the same as it was 4 years ago, neither are we as individuals. I thought I'd always want to go to church there...but if I dig way down deep, I'm finding that I've grown in a different direction. We're looking for something a little less...formal. Somewhere where we can go and worship and sing and praise God, and really feel it...know what I mean? I believe it's important for both of us to feel at home at church, and I know it's not going to be easy to find, especially since we really don't even know what we're looking for...but it's out there somewhere! Hopefully, it's close! ;) On another note, I'm hosting my very first party this weekend for my friend Catherine who's a consultant for Entertaining At Home! I'm very excited...this stuff is awesome! You should check it out...http://www.catherinefloyd.eahweb.com/. If you see something you like, let me know! I'd be happy to place your order...or even better, you can book your own party! If you're reading this and think you should've received an invitation, but didn't...feel free to stop by! Girls only...Friday at 630pm...dessert and drinks. I can't wait!!!

Well, since I started this post, I've paused to go to the bathroom, go thru some boxes of Taylor's clothes with my sister-in-law, Taylor got up from her nap and we played with her kitchen and then I started dinner in my kitchen! I think it's about time I wrap this thing up! ;)

I just love your blog Cara. Sometimes I forget I'm reading about Taylor, and not Lillie. They sound so much alike!

Good luck with finding a new Church. Clint and I went through that a few years ago, it can be really hard, but is so important to love where you go, and the people you go with. We love the Church we go to, its a four square church that is very young (lots of families and young kids), and very comfortable. Clint loves that he can wear jeans and a sweatshirt if he wants. It's very much a come as you are Church. We love it and love the pastorial staff, they are amazing! I think Orting might be a drive for you guys, but if you don't find anything closer you are always welcome.

Thanks Christina! It's encouraging to know that so many people really love the church that they attend...I just wish we didn't live so far away! I'm sure there are just as great of churches close-by, but I don't even know where to start... But, we'll find it, I'm sure of it :)
