Matt's birthday weekend

Thursday
Taylor and I made two cakes.
One chocolate with white frosting.
One chocolate-peanut butter-oreo ice cream pie.
They were both delicious, but I think the ice cream pie is my new fave. Yumm!!
Friday
we had our whole family over to celebrate my mom's (Dec. 30th), Matt's (Jan 9th) and my brother's birthdays (Jan 16th). We had baked chicken, fried potatoes, corn, 7 layer-salad, and rolls. My new chicken recipe was sooo good, and I think it's now also one of my new favorites!
We sang "Happy Birthday" to everyone, and then...before anyone could make a wish...Taylor blew out the candles! :)
Happy Birthday, Mom! ♥
Taylor helped Matt open his cards and presents...
...while Abbie and Jake helped Chad...
...and then Taylor moved on to help Grandma, too.
Saturday
After all the festivities the night before, we all slept in!
Taylor and I then serenaded Matt with a lovely rendition of "Happy Birthday to you!" and told him we could do whatever he wanted to do!
Breakfast in bed?
Breakfast out?
Sleep in?
Watch TV?
Or go outside and watch your little girl play on the swing...
...and go for a ride on your Harley!

And then let her help wash it when you get home :)

That evening, Taylor went to my parents to spend the night, and we headed in to the Warthog BBQ in Fife to meet some friends for dinner before going to the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game!

Here are the boys...
{Kory was getting a little frisky with Matt, so Matt was in his "defensive" stance :)}

Happy Birthday, babe!
Hope you enjoyed every minute of it!

I sure do love you :)
