So here we are, it's 330pm and Taylor's been in her bed for almost an hour now. One would think she should be sleeping, right??
Well, I just went in her room for the 3rd time to tell her to lay down and close her eyes.
The first time...she's sitting up in her bed with her blanket over her head talking to her puppy, bears, and kitty, and when she sees me she says "Mommy, I waked up!"
Umm, no.
The second time...again sitting up, this time with her back to the door and her pillow in her lap, she sees me and lays right down without a word...she knows I mean business.
I thought for sure this would be the last time I'd hear her talking, jumping and playing around in her bed. Usually, one "it's time to take a rest, you need to lay down and close your eyes" does the trick. Sometimes twice, but NEVER three times. Until today, of course. Never say never.
So fifteen minutes later, I carefully creep to her quiet room, and slowly open the door to take a peek.
She's laying down...
She's not moving...
Finally!! .....
"Hi mommy. I seeping."
And she proceeds to fake snore.

Rather loudly.
It took everything I had in me not to burst out laughing!

She's now finally asleep and the neighbor's dog is obnoxiously barking away right outside her window.
Good times.

PS... i posted basketball dates on matt's FB wall so you should take a look and figure out when you can come visit me!
So cute! I am jealous that she stays in her room when you lay her down. Lillie has never been a good napper.
Absolutely loved this... thanks for the chuckle!!!
the fake snore is my favorite! Avery does it sometimes when she is trying to tell me she can sleep on the couch for the night, crazy kiddo :)
