One down, one to go!

Boy, could I get used to this.
It's been SO nice being home with Taylor everyday.
We've kept pretty busy, and had a lot of fun doing it!
Here's what we've been up to...
*we hit the gym 4 out of the 5 weekdays...thankfully she has a great time in the kid's room and asked every morning "go shym, mommy?" How's that for motivation?!
*we had a playdate with our besties
*Taylor's been a really big help around the house...she wants to do everything I'm doing! She follows me around with her vacuum, and always wants to stand at the counter while I'm making food.
Here we were making grilled sandwiches and salad for dinner...
*I got a massage
*we went to the Newgards for dinner one night, and while Matt, Kory and the kids relaxed and played after dinner, Tiffany and I snuck away to the mall. We hit the VS semi-annual sale and of course Target! Love shopping with that girl. Oh, what fun! :)
*we did a little cleaning
*of course, did a little laundry
*we're also working on potty training...as much as you can with a 2 year old who is only half-the-time interested. Some days she's dry all day, and some days I wonder why I'm even trying yet.
All in all...a fantastic week off!

Last night Abbie, Peter and Holly
came over while Cheri and Jay went out with some friends!
It's been a long time since we've watched these guys, and boy, did we ever make up for it!
We had so much fun!!
We ate pizza,
watched Alvin and the Chipmunks,
danced, danced, and danced some more,
made up a routine to the instant American Idol hit
"Lookin' like a fool witcha pants on the ground"
(which sadly we didn't get to perform cuz Holly
was asleep by the time Cheri and Jay got back.),
we played Duck, Duck, Goose til we were all too tired to play anymore, and finally read books, and put the little ones to bed. I have to say, having 4 kids was definitely a lot louder, rowdier,
and busier than I'm used to...but I loved every second of it!
It helps that they're all angels, of course. :)

This morning we visited our first new church.
It's a Foursquare Church in Lacey called Living Water, and
I think it was a little different than we were expecting.
Maybe it's because I've grown up in the same church my whole life, but this didn't really feel like church to me.
Worship, yes. That part of it we loved.
However, I think it's a little too...free?? (for lack of a better term).
Both pastors were amazing.
They spoke in a way that made you want to really listen.
And they were funny!
I liked that.
And the music was awesome!
I liked that too.
But, neither of us left feeling like it was the place for us.
We'll keep looking!
I feel better about venturing to another new church next week
now that we have that first one under our belt.
Seems a little less intimidating now that we've done it once.
Hmm...what else??
Oh, tonight we're having Beef Stroganoff over rice for dinner...
rice that we're making in our new rice cooker!
Wild, aren't we?!
*****
Well, hope everyone has a fantastic week!
I'm really hoping we can get outside this week for some
playtime and fresh air!
Pray for sun!! :)

Sounds fun! great to get a couple of weeks off... Caitlyn just went 6 days without a diaper (except to sleep) and without an accident... You can do it Taylor!!!

What a great week! Taylor sounds exactly like Jacob - wanting to do everything you are doing and being perfectly potty trained some days and not at all others. I guess it is the age. Hopefully you guys get some sun over there. We had some on Saturday, but now it is just snowing non stop.
