Who says you can't be cute when you're sick?!

Remember this??

We're doing it again.

In fact, we were up pretty much all night last night.

Coughing, fever, sweating, more coughing, crying, tossing, turning, more coughing...from the couch to the chair to the couch, to our bed, back to the couch for the nebulizer at 2am, back to our bed, then finally propped up to an almost sitting position in her own bed where she slept for about 5 hours.

It was a loooong night.

Honestly, I didn't mind at all.

I loved having her sleeping on me.

I wanted to be close to her while she was coughing and sweating her little fever out.

Putting her in her bed to fend for herself wasn't an option.

She needed her mama.

And mama needed her to need her. :)

She would wake up pretty much every time she coughed (it's a reeeally nasty little cough) and she'd reach out for me, just to make sure I was still there. She'd whimper a weak little "mommy?" and I'd say "Mommy's right here honey" and she'd drift back to sleep.

*sigh*

Poor baby.

She woke up this morning feeling a bit better.

Her fever is still there, but not nearly what it was last night.

She's playing and cheerful this morning.

Still coughing, (and asking to do her nebulizer!) but I think the worst of it we experienced last night.

We were supposed to be going to two birthday parties today...

Makenzie's 2nd

and

Jackson's 1st!

Sadly (obviously) we're missing them both. :(

But, that doesn't mean that you can't wear your

party dress,

right?!

She asked to wear her "pitty chwess" and I couldn't say no. :)

Still the most beautiful girl in the world, my dear...
