Sunday was a beautiful day! One of the first of it's kind around here this Spring. We decided to take full advantage of it, and had ourselves a really great day in the sun. :)
Our day started here...
...for coffee and pastries in the sun-filled, outside seating area.
Then it was off to the Farmer's Market where we checked out the vendors, admired the flowers and bought a few fruits and veggies...
...and of course stopped to get a flower balloon made from the balloon guy.
We wandered over towards the pier and the beach and found a nice, quiet bench to eat our lunch on. There's just something about packing a lunch and eating outside in the sunshine, isn't there?! I would honestly do it every day if I could. It makes me happy. :)
There were tons of beautiful, vibrant, pink blooms on all the trees...they were gorgeous!
The view from our lunch bench. :)
After lunches were eaten we climbed down the big rocks and had some rock-throwin', toe-dippin' fun-time down by the water.
It was time to head home, but before we did we had one more stop. We had to pick up our bikes! Yep, that's right...we all got brand new bikes!!!
Matt and I have been wanting them for a while and actually purchased new ones a few years ago, along with a bike trailer for Taylor. I found out shortly after we bought them that I was pregnant, and Taylor wanted nothing to do with the bike trailer for more than just a few minutes at a time. Needless to say, after being parked in the garage for a month with no hope of use, we returned them. It just wasn't the right time.
Well, now it is!
Taylor is a pro on her little two wheeler {with training wheels} and we've been having a lot of fun getting her used to being on it and teaching her to ride safely. I should mention though, that the first day that we got it she wouldn't ride it out of the driveway. Apparently I went a little overboard when telling her how dangerous it could be to ride on/by the road though, and after that she wasn't having any part of it. She was literally shaking and kept saying "I too scared to go on the woad, it's not safe!" Hopefully she'll lighten up a little once she gets used to it. :)
We came home from our sunny, fun day and Matt mowed the lawn and weed-eated while I tidied up inside. Then, my neighbor Brittnee and I got the great idea that we should go have dinner and drinks at Puerto Vallarta! Our neighbor Terri is a bartender there, and she was working that night, so it was perfect! Three of us girls ended up going and had a nice, impromptu, neighborhood girls night out! {although we were home by 9pm, so I'm not sure you could technically call that a girls' night out :)}
I wrapped up my day with some snuggle time on the couch with my two favorite people and then stayed up way too late reading my book after everyone else turned in for the evening.
It was a night where I went to bed with a smile on my face and happy in my heart.
Another truly lovely day!♥
