Last night was the much anticipated Prairie Days parade!!
Okay, I think I was the most excited {with Taylor a close second and Matt a distant third!}.
This was something we looked forward to every year when I was growing up and I feel like a little kid again when I see that Prairie Days sign up in the park! :)
We got there about a half hour early, which turned out okay because my mom and dad had already been there for an hour saving our spot! Good thing, too...it was already packed!
Note to self for next year: be there by 6pm.
The kids were amazing and nobody complained once having to wait for the parade to start. I think we were all just glad that it wasn't raining. :)
Brittnee, Chris and Ryder joined us this year, too! Aren't they adorable?! :)
Gettin' ready to start...candy bags in position.
The kids quickly figured out that the more they waved, the more candy was thrown their way. ;)
Oh, Ryder. ♥
{He really can't help it...his dad's a plumber. :)}
The prancing and dancing horses were probably my favorite! They were so darn cute!
They high-stepped and pranced in circles, forward, backward, and around each other to the mariachi music...it was amazing!!
Tonight, Taylor and Matt have a little carnival date while I do a Scentsy party.
I'm kinda bummed that I'm gonna miss seeing her little face on all those big rides {cuz she wants to do the BIG rides!}...but that's okay. It makes me smile knowing her and her daddy will be sharing some sweet memories, known only to the two of them. ♥
