Bedtime prayers...

"I love God and I want to ask Him to bring back my baby sister from Heaven so I can hold her and rock her the first time.  And I want my baby sister to live in my house with me because I love her.  Amen."

Last night as I was putting Taylor to bed, I asked her who was going to pray, her or me, just like I always do.  Usually she says me, which I don't mind, and usually she wants me to sing the Lord's Prayer while she sings along {she knows most of the words}.  But, every once in awhile she takes it upon herself to pray for all of us.  Last night's prayer was what I posted above.  She also says things like "God is my friend and He loves me and He's nice to me." or "I pray for God to make my mommy's tummy not sick anymore."  She prays for her friends, her family and her babies.  She prays for Lambeau.  There are nights when I'm so tired and ready for it to be bedtime that I think about skipping the prayers and hope she won't notice.  But, it's little prayers like last night that remind me...she has her own budding relationship with God.  She's learning to speak to Him about the things that are in her heart.  And sometimes just listening is all it takes for Him to teach me a little something, too...

Love This. Love You. Love Her! Isn't it amazing how He uses our kids to speak to and teach us!
