Ike Kinswa 2011

This past weekend was our annual family camping trip to Ike Kinswa State Park on Mayfield Lake near Mossy Rock, WA.
It was a blast!
We camped for the first time this year and even had my parents join us...they haven't been camping in years!  We all shared our huge tent {nicknamed the Taj Mahal...it has 2 big rooms} and everyone had a great time!  Matt actually slept in the boat his first night because it was so nice out and he wanted to literally sleep in the outdoors.  {I opted for my air mattress an extra blanket over my sleeping bag.}  Aside from a really annoying crow that decided to wake us up by joining our camp at 6 o'clock every morning, we all slept wonderfully and woke up refreshed.
Our days started out slow...there was a pretty thick cloud cover so it was chilly in the mornings.
There were 5 campsites, 9 families, and lots of little kids in our group.  The kids played around the campsites, rode their bikes and followed trails through the woods until it was warm enough to head down to the lake.
We brought the boat but only put it in the water on Saturday, when a few more of my aunts, uncles and cousins joined us for the day with their boat, too!  My cousin Maddie and I rode the tube together like champs, then got seriously shown up by my cousin Molly's boyfriend who grew up on a lake.  An unfair advantage, if you ask me.  Their was water skiing, eating, tubing, dessert eating, lounging, snacking, sandcastle building, BBQ's, dogs fighting, more eating, games played, naps taken, and a whole lot of really good food!  That's usually how my family does it...we kind of eat our way through every get together, and it's great! :)
I took very few pictures this weekend, and the ones that I did are kinda random, but they're cute none the less.  Enjoy!
