Preschool bound!

She's bored.
She gets lonely.
She doesn't nap anymore.
She's ready for something other than just being home with me everyday.
She's ready for someone else to challenge her.
Someone else to celebrate her accomplishments.
Someone else to praise her beautiful artwork.
Someone else to make her teach her to pick up after herself.
To teach her that the world does not revolve around her schedule.
To make new friends.
To explore new toys and books.
To practice sharing and caring.
To listen and obey.
To respect authority.

It's preschool time, friends!

{Do you think my expectations are a bit too high?!}

{at last night's Open House}

She'll be attending ABC Academy in Yelm, which is owned and operated by an old school friend's older sister and her husband...Matt and Kara! :)
Together they are the teachers at the preschool, along with her mom who just retired from the Yelm School District where she was a Kindergarten teacher for more than 30 years.
To say that I think she'll be in good hands is an understatement!
They're a wonderful family who I've known my whole life, and I couldn't be happier about my little one spending her first "school" days with them.
She's in the 4's class, which is mostly 4 year olds and a few who will turn 4 shortly after the school year begins.  That means she'll be one of the youngest in her class, but I'm not at all worried about her keeping up or fitting in.  She's a social one...and a smartie to boot! :)

I know there will be a lot of tears on that first day {mine, not hers!} but I'm also really looking forward to seeing her challenged and thriving in a new environment.

Stay tuned for pictures of the big day...next Wednesday!! :)
