First day success!

This is how the first day of preschool went...

*in bed on-time for the first time since I-don't-even-know-when {9pm...hey, we're getting there, alright?!}

*I was just getting out of the shower when I heard Taylor coming into my room...and the first words that came out of her mouth were {a very enthusiastic} "I know what today is!  It's PRESCHOOL DAY!!!"

* I was concerned about breakfast...she's never liked to eat right away and usually I can't get her to eat a thing until atleast 10am.  I'm sure it was just the first day, but I was able to use the ol' "you have to eat a good breakfast so you'll have lots of energy to learn and play at preschool" trick.  Worked like a charm!

*with a full belly, she was dressed, hair done and shoes on...just in time for a few pictures before we headed out the door. {I should mention that although Taylor was ready, my hair was still wet...but I wasn't the one who needed to look cute today!}

*we got there just as Michelle was pulling up to drop Colby off, so Taylor and Colby posed for us real quick before heading in the door.  And this picture kills me!!♥

*when the kids came in, they were told they had a hook with their name on it and they could find it and hang-up their backpack.  Taylor found hers right away and she was so proud!

*Holly came in just as Taylor found her hook, so we took a few quick photos of the 3 amigos before it was time to say goodbye...

*she gave me a quick kiss and a half-hug, and was on her way...skipping to the play area with Colby.  I watched her for a moment, and she didn't even turn around to see if I had left or not.  It truly made me so proud! :)

*I walked to the car with my sister and Jay and commented how I couldn't believe I hadn't shed a tear...I felt a little lump in my throat as were walking in, but walking out was easier than I thought it would be.  We said goodbye, see ya in a few hours, have a good day...I got in the car and the second I started to pull away I lost it.  And cried the whole way home.  Hopefully that'll just be a first day thing. :)

*I can't wait to pick her up and hear all about her first day...I know she's going to have so much to tell!

My baby girl is officially a preschooler. :)
