Good morning ♥

I was still in bed this morning when I heard Taylor calling "Da-ddyyy..."

He was in the kitchen, about to leave for work...he's usually gone before she wakes up.

"DA-ddyyyy..."

"DA-DDYYYYY!"

He goes into her room and I hear her say "Daddy, are you staying home today?"

"No, honey, I have to go to work today.  But I'll see you later, ok?"

"Daddy, I wish you could stay home with us..."

"Me too, Tay."

...big hugs...

"I always keep you in my heart, Daddy."

...more hugs and kisses...

"Daddy, I don't want you to leave!"

"I know, honey...why don't you go snuggle with mommy for a little bit before you get up."

...little feet down the hall...

"Mommy, daddy has to go to work today..."

"I know, I wish he could stay home with us, too."

...a few quiet moments pass...her eyes are closed...

she rolls over away from me and says,

"God, please watch over daddy while he drives on the freeway today. Amen."
