Oh, boy. This time of year always has me running, but this year has been especially crazy and busy. In fact, I've only been Christmas shopping ONE time! I'm usually done by now!!
We're cutting back this year though, so I'm not too worried about it.
Let's go back to Thanksgiving...and the week before.
Taylor had her very first preschool program for Thanksgiving and it was simply adorable!
The kids looked great, sang their songs like champs and had a great time doing it!
Holly and Colby were pilgrims :)
Taylor was a turkey!
Gettin' down to a turkey song!
Holly and Taylor, thoroughly pleased with themselves after their performance.
Can you believe I don't have one single picture from Thanksgiving Day?!
I was obviously too busy eating to pay much attention to the photo ops around me! Of course we had a great time with our family, and Cheri and Jay did a fabulous job hosting, as always! All of us cousins even planned {and booked!} a January getaway to the Tulalip Resort and Casino...can't wait for that!
The day after Thanksgiving I'm usually one of the crazy people up and out the door before the early birds rise, but this year we decided to head back to Leavenworth for a fun night away. And I'm so glad we did...we had such a great time!
Our friends the Remferts joined us and it was relaxing, delicious and perfect.
And I didn't even miss the crazy shopping crowds...
Okay, I'm lying.
I did miss shopping, but our fun little outing more than made up for it!
The kids had so much fun playing together, and I inherited my second child...little Carson didn't want to leave my side. And I didn't mind one bit! :)
We came home Saturday and I started putting my Christmas decorations up...and finally got everything in it's place by Sunday evening.
Matt had taken Monday and Tuesday off, so we spent the next few days just having some family fun and together-time. We did a little bit of shopping, went out to lunch, slept in, watched movies, ate early dinners, watched football and relaxed. Good times! :)
Skipping ahead a bit...yesterday was the annual Yelm Christmas in the Park and Christmas Parade! Taylor and Matt walked with her preschool class, while my mom, Jay, Holly and I watched the bands, cheerleaders, school classes, dancers, decked out dune-buggies and Santa on a fire truck wave Merry Christmas. And of course we filled our pockets with a ton of candy! It was super cold, but so much fun. Taylor had a blast being in the parade...although I was a bit sad that she missed almost the entire thing since her class was one of the very last to march. But, she had a great time with her daddy and her preschool buddies, so that's all that really matters. :)
Abbie rode her unicycle with some kids from her school!
Cheri and Peter handed out Christmas duckies and candy from Yelm Family Medicine.
Kinda redneck, but that's how we roll! I thought the flags and reindeer on top were so fun!
Here comes ABC Academy! {I missed a pic of their cute sign...}
Half frozen, but having fun...not that you can tell from her face here. :)
That about sums it up from the Grubes.
Now I'm off to get ready for a Scentsy party at my neighbors house!
Happy Christmas season everyone!!♥
xoxo
