Happy Easter, indeed!

For the first time in a long time, Easter weekend was beautiful!
The warm sun shined and everything seemed to be alive and full of new life...the perfect setting for a wonderful Easter.

Our celebrations started Saturday with the Yelm Easter Egg Hunt and lots of extended family.
I haven't been to this egg hunt since I was younger {my Grandpa, who has passed away, always used to be in charge of it for the Lion's Club} and it was so fun to be there with my aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, etc and see the next generation of our family enjoying the same things that we did as kids.  We have a lot of little kids in our family right now...with a few more on the way! :)

We ended our family time with lunch and a quick pic of my cousin Tara and I.  She's due about 6 weeks after me...two baby boys! :)

We came home and spent the rest of the day outside in the yard...mowing, weed-eating, cleaning up flower beds.
A last minute trip to the store, a night-out for Matt with one of our neighbors, an early bed time for Taylor, and a night on the couch for me with Grey's Anatomy and Say Yes To The Dress made my day complete. :)

*****
Easter morning...after Taylor found her Easter basket and a few other goodies the Easter bunny had left her, we had homemade muffins and colored eggs for breakfast, and headed off to church to celebrate the real reason for this special holiday.  Easter is always one of my favorite church services...the songs are so uplifting and the message makes my soul rejoice!  It's amazing the sacrifice that God made for us, isn't it?!  And for me, this was the perfect time to celebrate Jesus dying for our salvation...having another little life inside me, one that will be joining God's kingdom in a few short months, just made it all the more special and a bit overwhelming.
He really, really loves us.♥

All dressed up...

After church, another Easter egg hunt!♥

And then it was home to enjoy a scaled-down version of Easter dinner...which was lovely and relaxing and fun!  {The Dorhauers are in Disneyland on vacation, so it was a much tamer get-together than we usually have.}  We had ham, potato salad, baked beans, corn, jello salad and rolls for dinner...and chocolate cream and banana cream pie for dessert!  Delish! :)

And even though we were missing half of the kids in our family, we still had to have the traditional after-dinner Easter egg  hunt for the kids!  It was a bit less competitive this year since 2 of the big kids were gone, but I think the beautiful sunshine more than made up for it!

Hope you all enjoyed your Easter as much as we did! :)

That picture of Taylor running and the one with her and your dad... Loved them! Oh, and you're looking pretty darn cute with that little belly, too!

Would love to try and get together soon! :)
