Well, here it is...almost 1230am on Wednesday and I'm still up. For some reason, it's always harder to go to bed when Matt's not here. Probably 'cause there's no one to keep my feet warm.
Taylor and I have had a fun and busy 2 days since Matt left for Indianapolis. Yesterday we dropped him off at the airport at 730am, then headed over to spend the rest of the morning with Tiffany, Avery, and Jackson! It was good to see them as always, and except for a header that Taylor took down their whole flight of stairs, we had a great time! We headed home, had some lunch, Taylor took a nap, and then we went outside and played...what beautiful weather we've had the last few days! We went for a long walk around the neighborhood, had dinner, and a nice little girl's only evening. Taylor was in bed by 7pm (exhausted from being drug out of bed and into the car at 6am) so I took advantage of my evening alone and ran a nice, hot bath for myself! Grabbed a Smirnoff Twister, lit some candles, turned on the jets and let Calgon take me away :) It was nice. Today I worked, then went to pick Taylor up at my parents' house. She'd already eaten and my mom had dinner ready for me too, so sweet! My dad was already in bed (he jokes that he's in bed before the Kindergartners cuz he has to be up at 330am for work) and my mom was tired from a long day, so I didn't stay long. When we got home, Taylor was in her pj's and we were reading bedtime stories in no time. I'm telling ya, I hate days like this. I feel like I didn't even see her for 5 mins. This isn't the norm and I know it's only this one day, but I really miss her when I don't see her all day long, and then not getting to spend more than a half hour with her in the evening really sucks. I'm glad Matt's getting to spend some well-deserved time with his friends, but I sure wish he was coming home! Our schedule and our family just seem to work a lot better when he's here. Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to the gym in the morning, and shopping with my sister-in-law Karena in the afternoon (we're going to Target to do her baby registry...fun!!!). Friday is work and a hair appointment. Saturday is shopping with my mom and sister and my good friend Abby's bachelorette party! Sunday Matt comes home! And as crazy as it sounds, I'm really looking forward to going to pick him up so I can visit with friends that I used to work with before he gets in! {I can't believe it's been almost a year since I quit Alaska...actually, I guess it's been over a year cuz I never went back after my maternity leave was over...that started October 1st!}
My point to this long, drawn-out, and boring post is this: although I do miss my hubby, and Taylor certainly misses her daddy, we always seem to keep ourselves busy enough when he's gone, that he's home before we know it! This week will be no exception :) I can't wait to go shopping!!! Don't worry Tiffany, I'll save the good stores for next week! ;)

Sounds like you guys are busy without Matt! Hopefully we can see you sometime soon. I go out of town next week, so you and Jayson can compare notes on 'single' parents!
I know exactly what you mean about not being able to sleep when the hubs is away...hang in there! Thanks for coffee and muffins the other morning. How strange that we can have playdates at 8:30 in the morning, huh?
Love ya!
Yeah, I can't ever gather myself up and just go to bed when Brian's gone either. Hope it goes by fast for ya!
Hey Bunches...
I have and idea! Let Lambeau crawl in to bed with you so he can snuggle up next to you and breathe his HOT-STINKY-BREATH on you and snor in your face and it will remind you of me. He is almost as hairy as me too... I think that would be a great idea. Well Good Luck and I love and miss both my girls. Well on my way to Minneapolis! Love You NANA
Your Hubby
Oh, now why didn't I think of that?! Thanks babe, you just made my day :)
I love you more, and we miss our man! Have a fun weekend and give Sam and Em a hug from us!
LOVE YOU! XOXOX
