Day 8
I am so incredibly thankful for the amazing blessing of being able to stay home with my girl. Today we had such a fun day! We started with my workout in the morning. She joined me for most of it, and I have to say, she's actually pretty darn good at a lot of the exercises! She constantly encourages me with little things like "good job, mommy!" and "keep going mommy, you're almost done!" She's honestly the best little workout partner I've ever had. :) Next, was Story Time at the library, which is on our normal Tuesday morning agenda. I love watching her make friends with the other kids and interact with the stories and the songs. The smile on her face when Kelsie {the amazing girl who leads story time} starts her favorite song just melts my heart, every time. Then, we headed to Applebee's for lunch and I couldn't help but keep thinking "wow, this is so much fun just me and her!" She was amazingly well behaved, had such good manners with the waitress, and ate her whole bowl of soup and shared some of my salad, too. After that it was over to Target for a bit of shopping and then home. I'm really, really loving spending my days with this girl!
Day 9
Which leads me to this...I am also so very thankful for quality girl time. Whether it's my mom, sister, sister-in-law, grandma, friends, aunts or cousins, girl time is always so fun and much needed! Having such a fun day with my own sweet girl really made me thankful that I get to spend so much time with my own mom...but also made me wish we could have a few more days to just get out and have fun together. Well, this weekend we get to do just that! Saturday is the Spanaway Lake High School Holiday Bazaar which has become a fun, little tradition that I look forward to every year! My mom and I are always there, and my sister comes when she's not on-call. My aunts Mary and Krissy are regulars too, and my aunt Lori usually meets us there at some point during the morning. And this year my cousin Ashley will be joining us, too! Yay! I remember when I used to think this was so not fun, but now it's something I would really hate to miss. I pretty much can't think of a better way to spend one of my weekend days than with some of my very favorite girls! :)
