Happy Birthday to me! Well, sorta...

So today started off with a wake-up call from Taylor at 7am {much earlier than she usually gets up...I think she was just excited that it was my birthday!} in the form of "Happy Birthday, mommy...I have to go get your cup!"  She disappeared and returned with a gift...a super cute birthday mug wrapped in tissue paper that her and daddy had hidden in her tent the night before. {She might have let it slip last night what it was, and where it was hidden, and that it would be a surprise for me when I woke up. :)}
I didn't mind acting surprised at all and we both happily got up a bit too early and headed for the kitchen...me to fill up my new coffee cup and her to...wait, she's watching cartoons in my bed.  Well, coffee for me anyway.  Next I checked my Facebook and already had 40+ birthday wishes from friends and family...why are these people up so early?!  It was a nice way to start my day though, and made me want to get up and get movin'!  So, we had some breakfast and then headed to the DMV to renew my license...nothing like waiting 'til the very last day!  {I admit, I'm sort of a procrastinator when it comes to that kind of stuff...and who doesn't want to spend the first few hours of their birthday at the DMV??}  A quick jaunt to Fred Meyer afterwards for some veggies and...wait, did I say quick?!  Silly me.  What I thought was going to be a quick in-and-out trip to Freddie's turned out to be a tad bit drawn out, what with having to clean up a certain little girl from a #2 accident, followed by a swift pantie-less walk to the kids' section for some new Hello Kitty undies.  Shouldn't I be the one buying new panties today?!  Anyway, that was that and I'll admit I was a bit frustrated when I left the store. {This is the 3rd day in a week that this has happened...thankfully the last two days have been at home, but it's leaving me with a lot of question marks...and a irritated.}  We were finally on our way to the gym and I knew that alone would lift my spirits and melt away my frustration.  Driving with the sunroof open and the sunshine on my face helped a lot, too.  Pulled up to the gym, grabbed my gym bag, got Taylor checked into the Kids' Room, headed for the locker room, and realized I didn't have my shoes.  %$&#$#^!!  {That's what I said in my head.}  It wasn't a total loss, though...the tanning bed was open so at least I had that.  Back in the car, heading the 3/4 of a mile to Nikki's office for an adjustment...I get a rock chip in my windshield.  NO, I'm not kidding...this is not just for your entertainment, this is really happening to me on my birthday!!  I can't believe it!  At that, I just had to laugh.  What else?!  WHAT ELSE?!?!  Well, I guess being born on Friday the 13th, and celebrating my birthday on Friday the 13th every 6 years would lead some people to believe that I'm just doomed to have days like this, especially on my birthday.  I have to say though, it hasn't been a total bust!  I still have pizza and strawberry shortcake with my family to look forward to tonight...and my new driver's license picture is really pretty cute!  Well, I mean...except for the double chin...

*the mug says..."Coffee and Cupcakes...Make everything better."  And I have to agree! :)

I think since your birthday falls on Friday the 13th, you should get to celebrate (with cake and ice cream) each day this weekend! :)

Lillie, JK and Molly all went through what your going through with Taylor, at about the same age. In fact... Lillie had an accident just last night.:( I think they get so good at being potty trained, that we forget that they are still little with short attention spans. Just start asking her and reminding her again and I bet this little phase will pass in no time at all. I know it did with JK and Molly.

~Happy Birthday! (Again.)
