What happened?!

So, a whole month has passed since I last posted.

It's crazy how fast the time is going.

What have we been doing, you ask??

Let me fill you in!

First, we took a cross-country road trip to Wisconsin!  This obviously took up the majority of our time in the last month...we were gone for about 2 1/2 weeks total.  It was a fantastic trip and surprisingly both kids did amazing 95% of the time we were in the car.  And let me tell you, that's pretty awesome, cuz we were in the car for a looong time!  It went much better than either Matt or I could have expected.  We have some pretty great kids. :)

My parents made the long trip with is {in their own car} because Benjamin was being baptized while we were there, and it sure was nice to have the extra help along the way! Taylor even spent a couple nights in their hotel room with them. :)

The first "wildlife" we saw inside the park. Ew.

A little irritated I don't remember what this was called...but it's a massive hot springs that I think used to be a geyser...but I could be making that last part up.

So much beautiful scenery...

On our way out of Wyoming, we drove over Big Horn Pass.  It was so steep!  The sign at the bottom of the climb said "steep grade next 8 miles" and it wasn't lying!  It was switch-backs all the way up the mountainside.  We kept wondering when we would be at the top and when we finally were, we were awe struck.  It was breathtaking.  At 9,430 feet elevation we felt like we could see forever!  We were overlooking Big Horn Basin, which is 140 miles by 100 miles...and it was absolutely beautiful.  I almost didn't want to post this picture because it doesn't even begin to do it justice.

Next stop...Mt. Rushmore!

Benjamin's baptism♥

We had his baptism at Matt's parents' church and while it wasn't exactly what we were expecting, it was still a very special day for our little man.

A lot of Matt's family members were there, including Ben's great grandparents, as well as our good friends Sam and Emilie who are Ben's Godparents.

Afterward, we had fun celebrating with everyone at Matt's parents' house...and of course we had cake! :)

Since we've been back, we've been just as busy!

Taylor started swimming lessons the very next day, which is Mon-Thurs at noon.

Benjamin has his very first playdate!  His friend Jorja lives right across the street. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but I think it went quite well. :)

We are so proud of her!!! :)

We've spent a lot of time outside in the sun, which we're loving...

and several days have been spent swimming with the fam, too!

Ben always finds someone to hang out in the shade with him. :)

So, as you can see, we've had a pretty great month since I last posted...and there's more fun to be had!
